4 Ways to Make Your Content More Engaging

4 Ways to Make Your Content More Engaging

Keeping it personal and writing about what you love is important, but if you want to attract people to read your blog and to continue reading, these four simple things could help:

Think about your subject matter
Write about what interests you, and write from the heart. If you’re writing about a bunch of stuff you don’t care about, you’re not going to enjoy your blog. Try your best not to be a copy-cat with your content – people are less likely to re-visit your blog if the content looks exactly like something they’ve seen somewhere else. Keep it fresh!

Plan your posts
Keep notes about possible blog posts, and make bullet points to make sure what you write flows, and that your cover everything you need to. Scheduling your posts for a specific day or time is a great idea, especially if it’s a regular feature. If these kinds of posts prove popular on your blog, readers will come back every week to read them, and more than likely click through to read other posts as well.

Proof read/spell check
Make sure your writing makes sense, is spelled correctly, and has all the punctuation it needs! If a blog post is difficult to read, it will put people off. If you’re not very confident in this area, use a programme like Word to spell check, or get someone you know to proof read it before you press publish.

Use images
Include photos that are relevant and clear. They can help break up large blocks of writing, provide additional reference and make your blog more visually inviting.

These tips are actually super useful! Your blog can look fancy as you’d like but without being actually interesting with top quality content no one will read it!

This is an excellent post, because content is really what people read your blog for and if it is interesting and engaging then people will continue to read your blog, this really inspires me to focus a little more on my own content . :)

Really great tips! I definitely agree with the usage of images, I feel like a post without pictures is quite dull.
