I am sure you have all heard about netiquette, those set of rules for an acceptable online behaviour. But for bloggers there are also other rules, that everybody should follow to be accepted and respected in the blogosphere…
Do not leave too many links in comments
Links penalize the Google rank of a blog. So there’s no need to leave all your social media contacts every time you leave a comment, ‘cause you may be considered a spammer and not a friend. Just leave one or two links and, if you can, with a “no follow” attribute.
Do not copy & paste the same comment to everybody
When you comment, try to say something different to everyone and to say something relevant. It can be really bothering getting comments that lack originality, if you have nothing to say, just don’t say anything at all.
Do not ask Sub4Sub
This is something many bloggers consider really offensive so before asking such a thing just check if the blogger you are talking to accepts mutual following.
Do not copy other blogger’s comments
This may seem obvious but I’ve actually seen a girl copying and pasting a paragraph from another girl’s post. There’s nothing wrong in being inspired by other bloggers, but please be original and be yourself.
Credit your sources
If you are using other people pictures always remember to credit them, leaving a link to their website/blog.
In short, try to be nice and respectful and people will accept you and love you.
